Is it worth getting a better brand of memory (need answer soon)?

Brand makes little difference often these parts are manufactured in the same factories and assembled elsewhere. The important things to note are the amount of memory, and the speed it runs at.

If your an extreme system builder It can be nice to show off Quality brand names. But don't put yourself out of pocket when all you really get is a pretty logo you might not want.

The only difference is that the cheaper of the two runs at a higher voltage. It is 1.8 - 1.9 volts, compared to the more expensive's 1.5 - 1.65 volts.

Have a look at your current memory. I'd match with the voltages. It's the safest and simplest way.

It doesn't really matter, if you aren't going to play with the clocks of the computer hardware. In short, get the cheapest of the two, the chances that you will see a difference greater then a percentile is slim.

If you are talking about changing what you already have, then no. If you are increasing the amount then yes.

I'd go for the more expensive one if you can afford it.
